What are the causes of ADHD? Causes of ADHD are still unidentified, but they com from inherited genes. Researches focused on studying the genes cause ADHD. Improper care of a pregnant mother may cause risks of ADHD to the baby. Lead may also cause ADHD (Patricia Quinn, 2011).

The hallmark symptoms are hyperactivity, impulsivity, or inattention. The symptoms would have an impact on a child’s life, negatively. ADHD would start 6 months and is present anywhere. Team mentality can help treat ADHD (David Loghill, MD). “I feel sorry for every therapist, psychologist, and psychiatrist I’ve ever met. I know I have put thoughts in their mind they will never forget,” (Stanley Victor, 2013). In evaluating the patient of having ADHD, the family’s background, the patients’ background ad physical examinations are needed.

ADHD evaluation includes the answer about the patient history. It also includes the family’s health and behavioral history. Physical examination helps assess patient behavior. The activties of the patient should be reviewed to evaluate his learning disabilities. Further testing is not a need for diagnosing (Patricia Quinn, 2012). “Those that can heal can harm; those that can cure can kill,” (Celia Rees, 2013, no page) Adults having ADHD today may have ADHD during their childhood but were not diagnosed.

The life of an adult with ADHD can be diffucult. It can afftect every aspect his/her life. Yet, adult with ADHD do have a lot of effective treatments. But a lot of questions occurs to patients who have been diagnosed, questions like if medicine works than how risky it is. (Hedy Marks, N.D) A child that had ADHD should have a “source if support” Parents have roles: emotional and practical. There are many involvements in assesing the child with ADHD.
