Cyber Bullying
One of the most dangerous problems on the internet is cyber bullying. Cyber bullying targets many children of all ages. From 4 to 20, cyber bullying is a huge problem that many people work together to stop. Cyber bullying can be a variation of a lot of things there are many definitions of cyber bullying. Studies show that as many as 43 percent of kids will experience bullying on the Internet or over mobile devices. (Cool) Over all, cyber bullying needs to be stopped, although it might be funny for some, it’s not funny for any one else,

Cyber bullying can be interpreted in many ways. Basically, cyber bullying is any harassment that occurs via the Internet. Vicious forum posts, names calling in chat rooms, posting fake profiles on websites, and mean or cruel email messages are all ways of cyber bullying. (Hardcastle) Cyber bullying can really hurt a child and can lead to problems like depression and suicide. Around 10 percent of all adolescents in grades 7-9 are victims of Internet cyber bullying. (Frisen) Since cyber bullying is such a big problem with so many kids, there are many groups and organizations that try and stop this vast problem.

When most people think of cyber bullying they think on the computer. Not all cyber bullying can happen on the computer. A lot of times the cyber bullying can happen over text messages. Cyber bullying can also happen in person but about the Internet. According to the National Crime Prevention Council (NCPC) cyber bullying can be as simple as someone making fun of a picture online. Websites like Facebook, Twitter, and Formspring are major areas used for cyber bullying. A lot of kids don’t understand how dangerous the Internet really is. So many kids are getting stalked because their social network sites have too much private information about themselves that anyone can easily see.
