The learners demonstrate understanding in acting a story using “The Elements of Short Story” Performance Standard:
Students will perform a “Mute Play” based on the story they made Essential Understanding:
* The 5 Elements of Short Story are Setting, Plot, Characters, Conflict, Theme * “Element” means a constituent part or forming part to create a short Story. * The Short Story cannot be form with out the 5 Elements

Essential Questions:
* What are the “5 elements of Short Story”?
* What does the word “element” mean?
* What is Plot?
* What is setting?
* What is conflict?
* What is Theme?
* What is Character?
* What is the use of 5 elements of Short Story?

At the end of the lesson, the students are expected to:
Objectives:
* Identify the “5 elements of a Short Story”
* Determine the function of each element
* Create a short story using the elements
Materials to be used:
* Box
* Manila paper
* Masking tape
* Bond paper
Explore:
* Share their ideas about the story they like the most
* Create and summarize the story based on the chosen title Firm-up:
* Present to the class the story and identify where is the setting, what is the plot, who are the characters, what is the Theme and conflict * Confirm whether the identified elements are right or wrong then Introduce the topic the “5 elements of Short Story” Deepen:

* Read the Short Story entitled “ The Wise Judge”
* Identify the 5 elements in the given Short Story
* Create their own version of the story “The Wise Judge”
