Rodolfo Vera Quizon, Sr., (July 25, 1928 – July 10, 2012), known by his screen names Dolphy and Pidol was a Filipinocomedian-actor. He is widely regarded as the country's "King of Comedy" for his comedic talent embodied by his long roster of works on stage, radio, television and movies. It's been said that he who laughs last, laughs the loudest. Dolphy has had not just a colorful career but also have a colorful life. He taught a concept that has been inherent to his life and work, humility and resilience. He has shown that life is funny. Everything would be solved when there is happiness especially in your family and when your holding to God. He is an inspiration to all of us in the broadcast business with his humility and his talent. He is also a good model for all of us for he taught us many lessons from his movies and also from his life. Aside from his performances, he was also generous, sharing his blessings to help the poor ones. He showed us that laughter is the best medicine. Laughing takes away tension and stress, that’s why if you have a cheerful attitude it gives you the strength to face the challenges along your way. He is so humble even if the standard of his life is so luxurious. He never forgot where he came from. Dolphy is also a good father because even though he has lot of children, he can managed them all and sharing equal love for everyone. He was a well loved person that’s why many people were affected by his humor and easy laughter that came naturally. His ability to make people laugh was a gift. He was able to make people happy, hopeful and looking at the positive side of life. We have lot of lesson we can get from his life not because he was famous but because of his attitude. He was popular, well- known and successful, but he did not develop the attitude of being greed. The man who has an attitude of being humble, something that we must be learned.
